New Year, 70 days

70 days feels more impressive than 10 weeks to me lol.

Happy New Year everyone. We are still on holiday, we had a death in the family when we got here, unexpected. I had a horrible flu and for once was so happy my husband's family is so laid back, I literally slept through three days of mourning on my sister in laws couch.

I still have a few days to enjoy my holidays before back to work. Last night was great, we did make it to midnight and when asked if I wanted a drink, no thanks was a complete sentence. Been lots of drinking here and there, especially at my sister in laws, holidays and the wake...

Just laying in my bed, reading here, waiting to see if my tummy stays quiet. The food is a bit different here, plus they consider meat with a side of meat a meal lol. I eat primarily vegetarian. This has been good for sobriety, alcohol would really upset my digestive tract. Bad enough being the strange, foreign, vegetable lover, without adding toilet wrecker to the description.

Happy New Year and thanks for sharing friends. Reading here is always good for a reality check, laugh and stern reminder of how things could have gone if I hadn't made a change.

Thanks everybody.

I am going to grab a quiet nap now lol. Eat and sleep, great vacation!

I have always felt anxiety around my in laws, not this time. It has been so nice and relaxing. I love sobriety I should have grown up and done this years ago.
