I drank last night and now have a splitting headache. I actually want to drink right now just to make the headache go away... im very disappointed in myself.

I know the feeling, it feels bad. You can use it to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back on again. Don't give up on quitting!

I'm so glad you came here and posted today. Stick close to SR, you can do this. If you have any alcohol in the house get rid of it, having it nearby can be too tempting in the beginning. Can you get out for a walk? Make plans with a sober friend? Binge watch a Netflix series?

I know it can be disheartening when the AV gets the better of you. But don't stop trying....and well done on getting back here today. Do everything you can not to drink, you will feel so much better tomorrow.
Support to you.

HI toni, good to see you back. this can be your last day 1. I'm on day 1 too and know how hard it is. I've been having thoughts of drinking and starting tomorrow but I keep doing that and nothing changes. I've got rid of all booze and drinking water and snacking on peanuts

Toni - are you telling us you still have two can left to manage our expectations (or your own expectations) around tonight or are you going to pour them down the sink? I mean - what's the financial worth of them - £2? Harly worth another night of alcohol is it?

Strength to you Toni.

I know that feeling way to much.
Dump what you have left.
Drink water and take Advil for the headache.
Maybe go to a meeting today if you can. The support will help.

Annother day 1 for me and I've felt awful all day. I know exactly how you feel and do you really want to feel that way tomorrow too? I don't! It never ends until we actually end it. Stick on here. It's a crap time of year for folks like us who are trying to get and stay sober. There are a few of us on day 1s today. Why not stick with us? Hope your head gets better. Gabe x
