One more try

Well, it's day 7 for this round of sobriety, and I'm checking in as we head into the weekend.

This week I listened to an audiobook "The Easy Way to Control Alcohol" by Allen Carr. I found it pretty interesting and helpful. I also watched the HBO documentary "Risky Drinking." If you think the documentary will be a trigger, then please do not watch. It certainly wasn't a trigger for me.

I'm not beating myself up for falling off nearly 90 days into my sobriety. Those days really showed me what I was missing. When you've been on this poison for so long it's difficult to remember what it's like to be sober.

Well, I'm enjoying waking up naturally rather than with an alarm clock, headache, and severe dehydration. Hope everyone has the strength to make it through the day sober. It's a hell of a lot better than the alternative.

Well done on 7 days.
Your right not to beat yourself up.
Just learn, gather yourself and move forward in your sobriety.
Good for you.

Congrats on day 7! Before you know it you’ll be surpassing that 90 day mark. Keep your eye on the sober prize!

Welcome back Frank :)
Apart from the listening and reading, have you thought what you might do differently this time?
