About two hours to go here. Went to the book store, then out for an early supper, watched a movie & played cribbage. All with my family.

My son ordered a 'grilled cheese, cheese burger'. It was two grilled cheese sandwiches with a large hamburger patty in between them... with cheese! Ugh!

It is raining really heavily here, proper stair rods as there is no wind.

Nice try, sao.

I ate a lot of food yesterday. Pretty sure that hour and a half walk isn't going to make up for that.

Nice to see all the participation in this thread over this weekend. Back at the daily daily, eh?

If you didn't q u i t e make it sober, there is no better time than today. I quit smoking many years ago on a significant day. Really didn't make it any harder or easier.

H&S come back.

Today I find a job. Yeah. Just like that! I want things when I want them.

Hello! One more day and I would have made it through the weekend!! Yay! Not that I am going to start after that but its a sense of achievement to get through the weekend! Day 4 ending for me now.

I haven't thought of drinking at all today even tho I went out with friends tonight. I said I was doing Dry January but I didn't want them to hold back on my account. One had a couple of beers and I honestly didn't feel tempted. But I don't want to get too complacent. Enjoy your day wherever you are!

Welcome, Nothernlass!

Congrats on going through the weekend sober.

Stick to your sober guns whatever it takes.

Eventually sober weekends become new "normal". I promise.

To sober 2018 and more!

Thanks Midnight! I don't know why but this time I am taking it seriously. I have got support from other friends doing Dry January and have made an effort to get replacement drinks so that I still feel like I am having a 'drink'. Juice and fizzy water in a wine glass or coconut water (which I never buy) seems like a treat and I don't miss the booze. But I need to get to 10 days. Never got that far before

You will.

It's not all rainbows and unicorns, but it's totally doable.

Focus on today. Plan for tomorrow. Don't get overwhelmed about "what if". Know your triggers.

Protect your sobriety. It will protect you at some point.

Glad to have you with us, NorthernLass!

I go into work in a little while, but I'll check back in later on.....I should get back to that "gym" thing......it's been over a week! Now the rest of the world is gonna be there too, I suppose....

Oh, well......I'd better be mindful and get going!

Happy belated New Year! I totally crapped out at 10 pm, thinking I’d set my alarm for 11:55–but I just turned it off and slept till 10 this morning.

Going home in 4 hours. This season has been fun, but I’m glad it’s over!
