I’m in! I have become a firm believer in that positive thoughts bring positive results. I was always a big worrier about all the negative things that “might or could” happen, whether they were in my control or not. Would get all stressed out, argue with husband. When I switched it around and thought of the positive “mights or coulds”. And believed, more often than not good things happened and the dark went away. Magic!

I am applying this to 2018, cannot wait coz I am gonna make it a good one!!!

On Day 2. Hate I relapsed. But after telling my parents the unadulterated truth and having their unconditional support, I feel so much stronger. Hope you all have a sober Friday.

In. Friday. The weekend cometh! The BIG one. The last hurrah.

The choice:

1. Health, happiness, joy and peace
2. Sickness, fear and self-loathing, death

Not much of a choice, really.

Welcome to Weekenders badgerden!

I get on well with my older sister but really... she called today and mentioned that she had finished her gift and card shopping for Christmas 2018. Smug or what?

That probably is better, DA. Stick around here on New Years Eve: I love SR then. There’s a good, cheerful environment online on NYE—we’re all in the same boat, and I always feel that we’re all kind of excited to be huddling together, bucking society’s big trend.

I look forward to seeing you and everybody here Sunday night!

I hate how alcohol hijacks your hobbies and makes you think you can't enjoy those loves without booze. When I listen to music that has been played in nightclubs and bars, it's difficult for me to enjoy that music without thinking about alcohol.

I am feeling a bit out of sorts. I had been seeing someone on a casual enough basis for about a year. I do mean casual. A fortnight could have gone by with no contact. Last August he told me he was going home for a holiday. I said "yeah fine." Then I asked him "will you be coming back?" That is all I said. Nothing else. The response I got was "I will be coming back but don't expect anything from me as I don't know what I will be doing. And I know you. It won't take you long to find someone else." I was a bit hurt but I got over it.

Anyway I did actually meet someone else. At first I was mildly iritated because he texts me morning, at night and sometimes in the middle of the day as well. Then one day he did not text at all. And I realised that I missed the contact. It is nice to know that someone cares, someone that I am not related to or that I haven't known for 30+ years. So we meet like once or twice a week and it feels nice.

So the first guy got in contact upon his return and told me that he would be leaving Ireland for good in March 2018. He did text once or twice at the end of October asking if I wanted to do this or that? I saw no point in continuing this as he was due to leave and I had moved on. I heard nothing from him in about 8 weeks until he starting texting again in late December. Now he is saying that he is not leaving the country and wants to continue the "relationship" and the texting is starting to get on my nerves big time.

Anyway I just wanted to vent a little.

In my searching on YouTube I came across this video which did make me laugh a LOT and cheered me up. What planet is this lady on?

I am in for the weekend.

We had a death in the family while on holiday. I am currently on a ferry on the north Atlantic willing myself not to puke, sea sick, not drunk. Which means I won't hear from AV tonight lol.

I also have a horrible flu. This the best holiday ever lol. Still sick, death, sober is still better than drunk.
