Day 3

Back at day 3 and today im back to work. Luckily im only working 4 hours.. im so not ready to go back to work. Funny how I can go all weekend without a drink but after work im reallllly wanting to drink. I pray for strength today, for myself and you all also.

Hi tonisherrell,
Yes i can understand that. I know for me for a number of years the idea of work also meant the idea of having a few after work and for along time those went hand in hand until it just didn't work anymore. Try to play the tape forward and "see" what would happen if you decided to pick up today. Do you think it would be the merriment of the early days of drinking? If you're like me it would be a disaster. Cunning, baffling and powerful. I'm powerless over alcohol. Why not go for a walk or a hike and then treat yourself to your favorite cuisine. Be gentle and patient with yourself. : ) Happy Holidays!

Why do you think that is? Routine?(Its what you've always done?) Stress?
