I'll second "reading" as a lifelong joy that I totally ignored when I was drinking. I get more excited about visiting the library these days than I ever did going to the store for yet another bottle!

At the moment, it's eating black forest gateau with ice cream, but hopefully that's an addiction that will end when the cake runs out

this week it will be spending the days with my 4 year old great nephew.playing with him, learning from him and teaching him. so far this morning, we've hadda bouncy balloon war, did some finger painting, and soon to bundle up,head outside to start a bonfire and play on the snowslide weve been building. then in for hot chocolate and lunch.
then maybe set up some targets and have fun with nerf guns. maybe read a couple books. maybe do some puzzle.
ALL fun stuff!

Yes.. Sounds good!

It was amazing for me too...
Sober has it's perks! Yesterday while kids opened gifts....
Engaging with them and helping them put stuff together...

Amazing when you are "there" fully and operational ...

What fun!!

Spending time with my baby grandson who will be 1 next week, especially our morning walks in our beautiful local park where we talk to the ducks and swans and squirrels. So happy to be sober and have the energy to do that in the mornings!

I have fought with sleep issues my entire life and being sober has allowed me to get some of the best sleep I've ever had. So in a nutshell, sleeping sober has been pretty spectacular.

Gym, going to the gun range and reading but my absolute favorite is reading it is not close.

All three were pretty much taken away from me when I was drinking/using drugs all the time. I'm forever grateful for getting sober because now I feel like I can live my life how I want to again.
