I will be alone on Christmas
I will be alone on Christmas
First year sober and I will be alone. Any tricks or tips I can use to not feel as lonely? I feel this might be a trigger for me. Anyone else here going to be around?

Think of sobriety as a gift to yourself. If that's not possible, "play it out", as people say. Think how much worse you'll feel when you wake up having passed out (tired, hung over, and perhaps never living to see another day 1.)
I'll probably stop in to the forums a few times.
That's one of the great things about this site. As it's worldwide, there's always somebody here.
Feel free to friend me,FallingStars.
And Merry Christmas.
So glad you joined us FallingStars. Almost one year sober is definitely something to celebrate. The holidays can be tough, and you are smart to put a plan in place. If you can get out for a walk in the morning, that will help you start the day off on a positive note. Get some of your favorite foods, maybe a day of appetizers, or a day with your very favorite meal, and binge watch your very favorite shows, or movies.
Check in here as much as you need, there is usually someone around.
You can do this!!
