Hi SR,

Just checking in as I'm on a Christmas Cruise to Norway and the Netherlands. When we're at sea, accessing the internet is not easy so will check in when we're in port. I've never been on a cruise before so it doesn't have any association with alcohol for me. I'm enjoying the hot chocolates to keep me warm when out and about in the various cities. This will be my first Christmas embracing sobriety. Hope everyone else is doing okay approaching the holiday season. Wishing you all well 💜

I have been on plenty and Norway and Holland are great. Enjoy the Christmas markets in Amsterdam and Oslo (if they are two of the stops?)

They are indeed Tony 😊 we're just in Copenhagen atm, Oslo tomorrow then on to Amsterdam.

I did have to take some sea-sickness medication Zanna 🤢...but then I was fine.

Oslo is nice albeit everything is very expensive. In fact the last time I was there I saw a keyring that said "This is the only thing I could afford in Oslo", which made me laugh. Not sure what time you dock and leave Oslo on your cruise but get up early and watch the scenery as you sail in and out. My goodness - it is so absolutely breathtaking and beautiful.

In Amsterdam just be warned that the smell of marijuana is everywhere. You can be walking down certain streets and behind certain people and get high just being around there for 60 seconds. If this could be a trigger then watch out (I never liked dope so it didn't bother me albeit I held my breath). If you're overnight in Amsterdam then have a meal out and take in the nightlife. It really is something else.

Day 6 of our cruise and it's Christmas Eve. We've left Oslo and will be at sea until boxing day when we will arrive at Amsterdam...I never took to weed so Amsterdam shouldn't be a trigger for me. We're having breakfast in bed tomorrow morning (Christmas Day) then I have a Spa treatment booked. We have a Black Tie Christmas dinner early evening. I find posting when I am away helps with accountability so hope people don't mind 💜

You must be on the Aurora. That's my favourite ship in the P&O fleet. I've had a lovely couple of cruises on that ship.
