My Day 4

Good Morning! Day 4 beginning for me and I've never felt this positive before. I was exhausted last night from no sleep the night before and all I wanted to do was fall back into old habits and sit on the couch, crack a few beers, and watch the Hockey game. So I sat on the couch, and watched the hockey game right after I cracked a few CLUB SODAS with limes. Actually fell asleep on the couch before the game was over. Actually slept good last night too. Well hope everybody has a great day and keeps up the good work.

Welcome! Early recovery is no cakewalk! 4 days is awesome! Read and post as needed. This place is open 24/7. Best wishes for you on your journey! It's not easy at first but it is so worth it!

Tomls. Ive been on here for about 2 months. Had a few slip ups. But just keeping on trying and fighting every day. Some days it seems so easy to stay off the booze, but most days its so hard. Im glad I've found this site.

Congrats on day 4! I can remember that any words of encouragement really helped me, early sobriety is the hardest and it gets better with each passing day. There are lots of podcasts (Recovery Elevator is an upbeat one), that really helped me early on hear how people in sobriety found success.

That's awesome! Hope getting good sleep has helped you to feel better today than you did yesterday... I feel like I might be turning a corner, I don't feel quite as worn out and exhausted on morning 5... keep it up!

I didn't feel quite great until day 6 or 7. I'm pulling for you and I think once you get past that hump it'll be easier to avoid drinking when you realize how good you feel without it. Keep it up!

Well done Canuckle. The first few days are the hardest. You're getting over that hump!

Good going, Canuckle! I'm glad you're feeling positive early on. Sobriety is hard but so worth the effort. Keep up the excellent work.
