Has anybody read this book? It's called "The Thirty Day Sobriety Solution" but dont let the 30 day part throw you. You can work the program on a 30-60 or 90 day timetable. I going for the 90 Day's with 100% total abstinence. There is an a website that adds more to the program than just the book can and participants are tasked with daily action steps to help keep your mind focused. I like it and plan to continue with it. On day 4 now. My first quit again in...I cant remember when. If you have heard it or read it, would like to hear from you and your thoughts DD |
Thanks for the info! |
I haven't read it Dave, Who's the author? whats the premise? good luck on your 90 days :) D |
I googled the title. It's a book on how to "quit or cut back your drinking" in the privacy of your own home. There are two authors. |
Good to know. It was a book that kickstarted my sobriety too (This Naked Mind), and the online community here is also quite awesome :D |
I did read it, and it began my journey in April of 2016. It did in a way, give permission to drink again, as I recall, saying that some people could return to moderate drinking. Which of course I tried! (And failed!). 6 Months later, I read This Naked Mind and I've been sober ever since. So, I'd say that the 30 day solution gives you a good taste of some of the benefits you'll see in sobriety, but doesn't hammer home that complete abstinence is best. Be well! |
I thought it was a good book. I have the audiobook. It makes you think, that’s for sure. |
I understand the rules Sorry I posted in the wrong place. |
Another vote for this naked mind. Annie really nails it with alcoholism down to its core, and gives real, honest logic on drinking and how to beat it. |
