It's my choice ! I chose sobriety and life
 

I have chosen not to drink alcohol for the past 134 days.
This Christmas will be special for me as I chose not to drink alcohol .
Some might say but you still have 11 days to go and anything can happen ,we've heard this before . OK let me rephrase ! every day for the next 11 days I will make a choice not to drink alcohol for 24 hours . I pledge this to myself today . No one ,no think ,no situation will affect this choice , my choice to not drink is indomitable. I completely accepted on 1st Aug 2017 that no matter what goes on in the world around me I am unable to put one sip of alcohol into my body without there being dire ,grim consequences . I chose my sober life over illness and misery , I chose peace and contentment over despair and darkness .
All of the business of me being sober is about making a choice. Every single bit of it is down to choice ,no excuses no stories nothing ,its ALL down to choice .

While anything can happen I know that my resolve is rock solid and I will be sober the Christmas and New Year because I believe ultimately that's a decision down to me, and I choose life :)

I have wasted too many years of my life either drunk or in withdrawals ,lying , stealing , deceiving ,absent ........... and much more . Enough is enough .
