just another hiding place It seems it would be a good idea to talk about this more, and yet, what good is talk without willingness to take action. I wonder if the not talking is just another convenient way to hide, another excuse not to take action. I've exhausted the few I have talked with about this decades long addiction, it's probably quite obvious to them I'll never change, I think they gave up on the conversation ever going anywhere. So I retreat back into silence on the matter. But that allows a free-for-all of the addictive thinking to go unchecked. Which is why I'm here now. |
Welcome back andisa :) I know I talked about it for years and I thought that was action ...now I know that action is the next stage on from talking about it. Theres a lot of support and good ideas here - many ways to get sober. I hope you'll stick around and find a way that works for you. D |
Welcome back andisa. Let’s do the thing💪 |
Welcome back. I talked and talked and talked about quitting before I actually did it. I fooled myself that I was working on my quit by talking about it. Then used this as an excuse to drink. |
welcome back! There comes a time when you realize if you are really going to get sober you have to take action and start doing things differently. Never give up. :) |
