Hi tomsteve,
My motive is because he has been telling me for the past year that he is going to a Saturday Meeting with his Sponsor Dave. My boyfriend doesn't have his driver license. It was taken away over 5 years ago. He makes a lot of excuses about why Dave can't come to pick him up. Like he hit a deer. Family stuff. And when I say I can bring him, he says it's a men only meeting. I tell him I can go somewhere for an hour. I know where the meeting is. He still says no. My X husband has been sober for over 30 years so I know most of all of the AA meeting in the Capital District. He won't go to any other meeting but the one Dave takes him to. I have never seen Dave for the whole year we have been dating. My X husband had a few sponsor through the years and was always honest with me. This I am not formaliar with and my senses are telling me there is no sponsor and he is going to no AA meetings.

pam, that reads like someone not being very honest. gives me flashbacks to when i would have to run with a lie. i spent a LOT of energy covering every lie with another lie- so much so it was hard to keep all the lies in line.
as sad as it is FOR YOU, im glad youre getting into solutions now before ya get too deep.
