Update

I'm still sober. I've been having some triggers of course because Christmas is coming, parties, etc. if I make it through this holiday I'm doing good.

I'm skipping x-mas and NYE this year. I'll still do some food and gifts with my daughter. She invited me to her friends party,but I declined. What 40yr old sober man wants to go to a party with his 22 yr old daughter and her 20's something friends?

It was nice she offered but they're in that party stage. I'd rather lay around and watch football/basketball. Probably going to take a ski trip for NYE with some single buddies of mine.

Similar sober time here.
I can handle going out for food and drinks but if it's one of those evenings which is just about drinking, then I will be giving it a miss.
I just don't want to chance it.
