Day 11 trying to fight the urge Siitting here drinking my sevond cup of coffee at 8:33 am trying to fight the urge to go and buy alcohol..ive never been a coffee drinker but i started yesterday and besides the light jitters it helps in some way..if i have to drink 5 of these i will... i just cant drink.. lol |
Try some pastries or other sugar. |
Those first few weeks can drive you crazy with the cravings. Walks or exercise can help distract you. So can just idle conversation with someone. |
For me I’ve really had to watch my blood sugar early in recovery. Drinking whacked out my blood sugar and drinking too much coffee made me crash and want to drink more. I had to lay off the coffee and eat every two hours... |
Alcohol and coffee both play havoc with blood sugar. It can become very serious. |
