I made It! Never in a lifetime did I imagine this could happen. I must say, I can do this 100 more times. I think.

I got into it with my SO. And then it came up that he spends less time doing his work because he feels he needs to be my babysitter. Hes afraid to leave me alone in fear i might drink or try to break up with him (which I did a lot in my earlier sober days when the urges came on).

6 months without alcohol and I'm still dealing with its problems.😭

Congrats on six months Kateangel!!

First and foremost, you each need to stay sober for yourselves. Being in a codependent relationship is not healthy for either of you. Sobriety exposes whom we really are as people, warts and all.

I totally agree. He doesn't drink anymore and I used him a lot to be my rock. I guess I leaned a little too much on him. It just makes me sad that I've been such a burden, I guess. And I feel like he's trying to put blame on me for him not having work.
