Still Going!
Hi all, not been on for a while, have had a few weeks of children being ill so it’s been all hands on deck!
I am 40 minutes away from 76 days sober. Who would have thought it?
I have been getting to meetings although my recovery plan has taken a little hit with the kids being ill but I have been keeping my praying up and being grateful for every sober minute.
Family life is so much better although it’s still early days and I have been in a lot of social occasions that would have always involved me drinking in the past without any wobbles.
There have been a significant amount of stresses the past few weeks but I always kept front of mind that absolutely nothing will benefit from me drinking!
Trying to get to grips with my own character defects and accepting life as it happens instead of how I want it to happen.
My partner cant believe the change in me and my approach to things and family members have commented that I look up to 10years younger 😳
Anyway just wanted to say Hi and give some encouragement to anyone in the very early days of sobriety.
All of your hard work and perseverance is worth it so stick with the sober life!
