5 years of gratitude for SR
5 years of gratitude for SR
I'm celebrating 5 years of sobriety today and feeling super grateful for all the folks here who run and utilize SR. SR has been a consistent source of support for me in addition to the face-to-face people I've met through AA. I so appreciate reading the posts from the "old-timers" and the new people as I continue to learn to negotiate this recovery life.
I'm posting as a reminder to those in early recovery to not give up....ever. There will be times when things get and feel uncomfortable. Don't run from this. Seek support that you need and ride the wave until you reach the shore. Taking the easy way out is temporary. Staying with the uncomfortable will make you stronger. Living a life of recovery and making right decisions will help you achieve your hopes and dreams.
