Thanksgiving Weekender 22-27 November 2017
It sounds like we had a good, if not wobbly Weekend.
As Dee always says, "It doesn't have to be graceful."
V, you'll be in my prayers. You've got this.
I LOVE that "Ditto" house. So funny.
I found out through my Googly skillz that the golf course I mentioned earlier is indeed now set aside as a park. That's amazing. My area of the world is in a building boom and that Real Estate is prime. I'm really grateful to the involved citizens and the city.
Steak and eggs this morning (spinach/mushroom/tomato/cheese omelet) with hash browns. I've moved this breakfast to Mondays to see if it makes me like Mondays more. At least I like Monday breakfast!

I had a wibbly wobbly weekend as many of you know.
My wife told me last night that the last two years have been the best we have had since a long time. That gave me a massive boost.
She's cool as you can imagine.

hope you're feeling more positive today Vinny
how about bookmarking this thread & the others you posted on over the weekend to re-read as a reminder in case you're feeling wibbly-wobbly again in the future? drinking really doesn't improve *any* situation for the likes of us

Keep counting, H&S! I'm just so pleased you are making it work every day. HUGE well done. Keep it going.
I have to go to the big city twice this week. Once for the eye doctor and once for the Figgy Pudding carolling contest which is an absolute blast. It's for the local food bank and there are little (and big) teams on every corner doing some of the most imaginative and giggle-inducing and solemn singing. It's awesome. The city will be all dressed up for the holiday.
Can't wait! I don't have a "date" - I imagine I would have to actually ask someone, that's how that works, right?
On the menu this morning: oatmeal with walnuts and homemade apple sauce. Turkey sausage, scrambled eggs with cheese. Standard.

After many days of the over-eat thing, I'm back on track. I think. My weakness is sugar. The other day I stopped in the $1 store to get some Snickers and I guess it was the combination of being hungry and thinking a lot about my family the last week - but I ended up with five different (sentimental) candy bags. Things the family ate or gave as gifts.
Thankfully they are/were small $1 packs. I ate a couple of Snickers (the Fun size) a couple Almond Roca, and a couple Red Vines and decided to throw the rest away. I saved myself 3000 calories that I would have eaten over the next day and felt like crap. Into the bin at the bus stop they went. They didn't even stay in my possession for two hours, but in those two hours that was all I could think about. It felt very alcoholic.
Victory-ish.
Today is big hill beach walk day. Yippee!
Glad you're still at it H&S.
Everyone hang on through this season. Power of the Pack, right here, ya'll.
