Intro
My little boy died. I gained a ton of weight. I had gastric bypass, and then, instead of using food I have used alcohol. It is ruining my life and my families. I am entering detox on Wednesday. Looking for some support on this site. Thanks for having me.
I'm sorry for the loss of your little boy. 
There's lots of support here so read and post often.

Hi Dearone, so sorry to hear of your loss and could not imagine your pain but you have made it through and now it’s time to get yourself well. Starting Wednesday a new you begins and i can speak for every person on here that we will be cheering for you and always be just a click away. You can do it!!

I simply cannot imagine what you've gone through! My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I also had a gastric bypass several years ago. A few years ago I saw on tv (Dateline, 20/20 or one of those shows) where the surgery is linked to alcoholism. Goggle it and you will find several articles about it.
