Breaking up the routine is a good idea.... here's one suggestion:

Sit down and write a list of every part of your current routine that supports your drinking.

Then - use that as your roadmap of things to shift in your routine.

Example:

Routine Item 1 - Every day around 5 o'clock I tend to go to the liquor store.

ACTION 1 - Today at 4:45, I will go to the gym for one hour.

Finding the specific ways we can take specific actions to alter our routing in the direction that supports SOBRIETY is a great way to help ensure we live a joyful, sober life.

welcome,Cforme.
seems if ya want to break up your routine, its going to require some courage to act- act on the thought of going back to AA.

I need to switch up my routine too. I feel I'm getting complacent, and that's a tricky road to deal with when you're trying to clean up.

I find keeping my place clean, and gradually working into some exercise to be helpful. Our instincts as mammals incline us to move our bodies throughout the day, simply to nourish ourselves (hunt & gather). We sleep better and become stronger as a result. With markets, we have little need for exercise in order to eat, hence we need to supplement with exercise.

I'm finding eating well and exercise to be the most beneficial for me at the moment at 2 months dry. I need a lot more structure though. I'm feeding my body as I feel it needs without the sauce.
