Struggling

Hi, this is my first post and I am in an outpatient treatment facility here in Anchorage. I don't feel it is doing much good. I have put the work in and am trying to have positive affirmations and gratitude lists. I am also struggling with my daughter's heroin addiction which is very troubling. I am hoping to find some answers about some of these things and find the right forums and not feel so alone in this journey. I'm know it is helpful to reach out but that is a big problem for me. I am excited to find out what I can learn from this site.
Thank you for listening:thanks

Welcome to SR Akcadgirl :)

sorry you feel IOP is not helping - why do you think that is?

I'm glad you found us anyway - support really helped me - and you'll find support here :)

best wishes to you - and for your daughter :)

I’m so glad you’re in outpatient. I know that my therapist and AA and on here everyone always says take it slow and focus on yourself. You need time to heal. You can’t help anyone now anyway.
