Excellent news. I hope all the (excellent) contributors to this thread made it through the Christmas/New Year period OK, I know that at those times being alone is kind of intensified.

Holidays were survived with sobriety intact

Truckin along. Feeling better. Being selfish (In a good way). Taking responsibility and meeting my needs like an adult.

Goodstuff Offthemast, I bumped this post because single people, and especially single guys (including me) which is most people on this thread need to know that they are neither forgotten nor off the hook about drinking or drugging. I hope some of you check in.

Still sobering on. These past two mornings I've woken up with work anxiety, despite it being the weekend. Somewhat uncharacteristically, I spent some time meditating. It seems to have worked.

Just hooking up to this thread
It resonates with me.
I need my single solo life right now
Well apart from my loyal dog!
12 days sober today
I have a sponsor he's also single.
I have no interest in a rship.
I'm strangely fascinated by the journey of self discovery in a healthy way.
I have a family
My mum son sister nephews auntie and uncle.
I don't do it for them but I love them very much and know my sober life will keep me in relationship with them.
Solitude is different from isolation.
I've accepted my illness
I go with the 3 fold definition.
When the malady is over come
I will straighten out obsession and physical allergy wise.
I'm on the case with my sponsor and the steps around the malady
It's working because I'm getting stuck into my recovery actions.
If a woman came into my life now
I'd probably be dead or really ill within months.
So at this phase of my sober life
I'm single and grateful that I am.
