Hello

New to recovery. Quit drinking 21 days ago after 25 long heavy drinking years. It’s been fine so far but worried about the holidays. Enjoying early mornings and time with the kids. Really enjoying Sober Recover

Hello and welcome. You've found a great place for support.
I drank alcoholically for thirty years. And I was a bad drunk, recovery is possible.
It's been almost seven years since I've had a drink.
Glad to have you here, and remember, you never have to drink again.

Welcome, Macro. You're among friends who understand and care.

Like Ghostlight, I drank 30 yrs, so I know what you're going through. The first holiday season was challenging, but stick around and stay close. Posting & reading here will help with the anxiety you're feeling. You're never alone.

Congratulations on your 21 days free of it - that's wonderful. :)

Way to go, Macro. I too drank for 25 before calling it quits. Best move I ever made, and you will probably agree!
