31 Days! One month!
I know for many, this isn't that much time, but I have one whole month without drinking!
Things have really started to click. I'm sleeping sooooo much better. I'm getting more stuff done at home. Finally have an even keel feeling. I don't dread getting out of bed in the morning and having to face another day of complete emptiness.
I'm celebrating tonight with an M&M's ice cream cookie, because those things are the best treat ever, and with the success I've had so far, I'm really going to enjoy it.
The whole, "It really gets better," statement is true. Not going to say everyday is perfect, but by simplifying the day just down to the tasks at hand, makes staying sober a lot easier.
If you're here because you're thinking about quitting alcohol, I can tell you, I've been there, and yes there are ways to stop. For the first time in a long time, I feel like life is actually worth living. If you have stopped, keep on keepin on. Like me, you just have to take it day by day.
