Day 101 not Room 101

As the title says it's day 101 for me.

I've been really busy the last couple of weeks and hardly looked at the SR site but have attended my SMART meeting on a Monday. I have reached a point where the only time I think about alcohol is when I am at the SMART meeting or when I am browsing on SR - I just don't have any urge to drink (if I did my room 101 now would be full of wine).

That said I have seen many stories on SR where people have drifted away and relapsed because they did not keep doing something to remind them of the choice they had made to be sober. So I intend to not get to a point of complacency, which could easily happen because I am finding this sober life quite straightforward and easy at the moment and after such a short time. I know I have to never let my guard down.

Stories here have helped so much.

Congrats on your milestone decchemist :)

Recovery was definitely something I couldn't set and forget for awhile, but it became second nature, and a little easier for that.

you're doing great :)

Great work.

Of course, Orwell wrote "A man may take to drink because he feels himself a failure, but then fail all the more completely because he drinks." :c011:

From personal experience, "complacency" is a

big big big big big

danger.
