I hadn't thought of going out to eat to celebrate it, but am open to the idea. 
Today I didn't do anything special other than a couple dog walks. But a dog walk always makes my day special.
It really was the kindness and patience of the members here that kept me going, failure after failure. I was encouraged to keep trying and finally 'got it'.
I hope I can encourage someone else to get sober for good.
It really is worth the trouble it can be at the beginning.

Probably. Because I can share them and the fries with the dogs. They love their fries and nuggets. They get a few small fries and half a nugget each. They beg very politely too, sitting quietly waiting for me to give them some. And they take their treats very nicely too.
I still rejoice that Jack was found last year after his little 'adventure' in the wilds of Wayne county. So glad I was sober to look for him.
