Day 1 for me again for the millionth time. I feel physically sick and can’t keep anything down ! I’m retching bile..
I need a new plan. Ideas please.

Medical detox and rehab?

I didn't have a huge problem quitting once I said, "I'm done." But if I had a million day ones, I'd be looking for outside help.

Have you been to AA? What have you done?

I think if you have been wanting to quit for nearly five years, and you have been as sick as your threads suggest, it's time to get medical help.

Can you go to Urgent Care today? They can give you a few days of meds to get you through withdrawals and can help you find a program.

It’s the nausea which is crippling. I’m hoping it will be gone by tomorrow

...and you have to keep going. You can never stop going, maybe cut down on the frequency but you must keep attending meetings. Alcoholism is never cured it only goes into remission, the length of that remission is entirely up to you.

I’m sorry to hear about your troubles. What did you do before? Why didn’t it work? Maybe that’s a good place to start.
