Well done Stacey! Keep posting and reaching out to all the SRers hands, that will guide you towards a better, sober future. You CAN do this!
Gulp! Just read back, I used to double up on blood pressure medication whilst drinking, too. I'm just short of 14 months after daily drinking over twenty years.....and I no longer need blood pressure medication!

So I'm 65 hours now and I'm missing a Halloween party tonight because I don't think I'm strong enough yet to be that close to temptation! I'm looking forward to waking up tomorrow and being able to say this is the start of day 4!!!

Welcome Stacey... Big huge Well done on your sober time. Your posts are warm and uplifting. Stay with it. Every day you wake up sober is a win . You got this Girl. !!! xxxx P.
Stacey - I'm so glad you're positive & upbeat. The symptoms you mentioned are very common. I felt that way too - exhausted, foggy, disoriented. Also achy, sniffly - hard to describe. Emotionally & physically drained in the early days. It all got better as I got some sober time behind me. You're doing great.

Ok so its still high without my tablet but I can't expect miracles on my 4th morning that was a bit of wishful thinking there! High but not as high as would have been the morning after so its still a step in the right direction

You're doing fantastic Stacey! Remind yourself that you only have to go through this once. Stay close to SR. You're probably really close to the point where all of this starts becoming easier. Just keep pushing through. Sending lots of support your way.
Welcome to SR!
I remember when I counted my sober time in hours. I knew that if I hit 72 - 96 hours I would be through the physical withdrawal.
It's sort of hard for me to believe, but the unit of measurement I now use to count my sober time is years.
If I can do it, you can too.

Thank you for kind words of support. I'm quite confident that I can deal with the situations and certain people in my life that I have previously dealt with through using drink...but I'm getting frustrated at still feeling so physically crap and I actually feel drunk. I have no clarity it's not making me want to drink but I just want to be out the otherside already if that makes sense? I guess I'm jumping the gun a bit I should be grateful of such mild withdrawals really considering the years of regular heavy drinking I've put my body and mind through. I hope I haven't done permanent damage to my brain and will forever be foggy?!😣😣
