Hi Six,

I'm sorry to see the struggle continues but I definitely understand where you're coming from. I did all I could to prove I could continue until I finally got to the point you're at.

Maybe you do need some inpatient help as was suggested in a prior post? At least then they'd be able to help help making the physical aspect of getting sober less uncomfortable.

I know how much you want this but you have to be realistic in the fact that the beginning of this journey isn't easy.

Take away the choice and make the decision to get away from this. There is such a better life for you, you know this because you've managed to string some time together before. It's just that you have to power through when that AV comes calling. Not easy but doable.

You can do this, I promise. I hope you're doing better today.

1 stop drinking and get help if needed

2 life will improve - massively

This list is a lot shorter than yours - granted it is hard work but rewards are there for you to collect

Sorry your feeling down , I know your pain

Good advice from Tomsteve that can stand all of us in good stead.

Just wanting sobriety, but not having the willingness to do what we need to do in order to make sobriety bearable and sustainable, well it really is just howling for the moon.

Have you found your willingness? What are you going to do for your Recovery. It's that Recovery work that will make it bearable and sustainable.

For me that meant AA. For others SMART or other recovery programs. For others it meant something different. The joy of being part of a forum like this is that we can learn from other people what helped them, and then take some action and do those things for ourselves. The action is what makes it work though, not the knowledge.

I wish you all the best for your sobriety and recovery.
