48 days sober and last night dream

Funny how your minds work! Here is my dream. By pure coincidence, i saw myself holding a glass of red wine in my hand and took a sip only to realize after what i had done. I did not know what to do with the rest of the wine either drink it or throw the rest away. I was so sad that i had broken my path towards sobriety and that i would have to start counting again from day 1 onwards. How relieved was I when I woke up realizing that it was just a dream and that I had not broken the promise that I had made to myself.

After 49 days, this is what i have achieved concretely:

1) I have lost at least 10 pounds and it is noticeable by commenta that I have received.
2) Better sleep (even though not perfect still) with less interruption
3) No more empty bottles everywhere in the house
4) Better sexual drive
5) A sense of hope that there is a better life for me as I continue into sobriety.
6) Better role model towards my daughter
7) More physically sharp when playing tennis
8) A sense that I am not waisting any valuable time
9) More money in my pocket
10) A certain degree of admiration from people knowing about my next journey.

And more positive benefits are to be discovered.....I am 61 years old and I have drank every day for 20 years and have granted myself a fresh start. Better late than never.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts !!
