First Day It's my first day of not drinking after months of consuming about six beers a day. I'm recognizing this is a problem and I want a different life. I feel terrible and curious what are some things to feel better? I'm drinking lots of water and resting, but my anxiety is high. Any advice? |
Don't focus your thoughts on 'never drinking again'...you're just not drinking today. Rinse and repeat tomorrow,ect... |
Welcome, and feeling anxiety in the early days of withdrawal/recovery is pretty normal. It will get easier as time goes by. Just take care to eat well and drink lots of water, and get rest when possible. |
Glad to meet you, Ab. Reading & posting here helped me so much in the early days of quitting. It's a good distraction, plus you will learn a lot. You can do this. |
Welcome to the Forum Ab!! |
Hasnt been an hour og soberness and i already regret this sobriety decision. |
Don't regret your decision. This is a hard, but temporary, transition stage. This is not 'sobriety' and this is not the best things get :) The first few days are tough. Its rough - but it passes. If you drink again, you'll only find yourself back at this point again in the future, but maybe feeling worse next time. Stick with it :) D |
