Morning, weekenders.

Good luck with your detox, Sao!

I do 24 hours water only quite often. Any particular reason they recommend to break fast with bananas?

Sao I once heard bananas had a tendancy to 'stick' to the intestinal tract. Now I dont know if that's bad but it doesnt sound too good either

Just been reading up on bananas. (In french)
An interesting fruit indeed besides poop and transit
Potassium, fibre, magnésium, b6, c, folic acid...
NB: bananas high energy source but have a long digestion time so not too late in the evening.

Now these facts I did not know :
- reduces cholestorel
- reduces muscle cramp
- helps the nervous system and reduces anxiety.
- natural antacid ideal for ulcers
- helps reduce blood pressure
....

We could have a "gone bananas" thread !

Oh dear. I spend time on a fitness site too and there is enough woo about bananas to start an entire forum. That and apple cider vinegar. Sao, chase your banana with apple cider vinegar and you will cure anything that ails ya.

The reason why I am asking is that bananas, though having lots of nutrients, still loaded with carbs and I fathom would cause a significant spike in blood sugar after fasting.

I love bananas. When I need a splurge I do banana-coconut milk-cocoa powder dessert. Sigh.

My boxing/kickboxing trainer showed zero political correctness last time. After we finished the workout the said "Now you are going on a treadmill". Then pointed to my belly "How many kilos do you need to lose? 3-4?".

My jaw just dropped. So, no bananas for me.

I'm sure you don't "need"
to lose 3-4 Ks MB.

I could have chosen another fruit but I like bananas and they have a reasonable calorific value.

I actually need, Sao. I just needed to hear from someone in this no-nonsense way)

Just back from a gym. Had a great workout. And then our trainers made a show with tough fights between trainers, breaking wooden planks with bare hands, etc. It was fun.

Now it's time to prepare for tomorrow's day at the office.

Have a good one, weekenders)

Aw! Cute Purplrks.

Have a good day MidnightBlue.

Second banana of the day has just been consumed. I bought the really small greenish ones.

They are not finger bananas Dragon but they are smaller than the cucumber sized tasteless bombers you sometimes get today. They are Jamaican.

Vinny thanks for curating Weekenders, great job.

Something happened at work yesterday which I do not want to go into detail about just yet. I need some time to lick my wounds. Perhaps I’ll post at the weekend when I have the heart for it.

In the meantime this is for you guys, Dee especially

Hi, weekenders.

I am about to call it a day, so I just popped in to wish everyone a good day/night.

Sao - You must me somewhere in the middle of your detox already. How are you feeling?

Tetra - Sorry about your job situation. Hope it will settle down and cause less emotional pain to you.

Ok, my pjs are calling)

See you all.
