Greetings

Hey folks, first post here. I came across this forum while searching on Naltrexone. If anyone has had any positive experiences with this treatment in connection with alcohol, I'd love to hear about it. Specifically I'm interested in cases where it was prescribed by a Canadian GP rather than as part of an expensive private program.

Thanks!

hi there.... I'm afraid I don't have any relevant experience but wanted to welcome you to the forum.

I found great sobriety with a combination of AA, therapy, life changes, action, and a deeply-held choice made again each day.

I've heard stories around here about folks using naltrexone and have read accounts elsewhere but never known anyone who's taken that path.

Hi! I'm Canadian and am on Naltrixone. I find it really helps with cravings. If you drink on it it blocks the "rush". So be careful if u relapse as you may not feel intoxicated but you will be. Its easy to drink to dangerous levels due to the lack of the rush. I ended up in hospital due to that. Good luck!

Ahoy Sailor! (I'm not proud of this but you might as well find out I'm corny asap). First time here for me as well. Canada is absolutely ahead when it comes to trying new things medically. I don't have info but I'm curious about this idea and glad to have met you.
