Hi. Is there nothing that you can get from your Dr to ease the withdrawals? I know as an alcoholic I was often given Diazapam to make the early days a bit easier. Getting through that first 2 week hurdle can be very hard. Are there any NA meetings in your area. You'd get a lot of one to one advice from other recovering addicts who have been through the same things. Also, of course, there are forums on SR that are specifically for recovering users to post/read.

I’m sorry to hear about your situation. It must be really tough. There’s good support on SR but I’d also really recommend seeing your doctor.

Keep at it.

You can be free of this.

Why are you getting turned down for rehab?

Sounds like you need supervised detox and medical care.

Is there some way you can get that?

Hi and welcome wilfong

If withdrawal is too much for you to handle alone, I think asking for a Drs help to get through withdrawal is a pretty good idea.

Welcome, and I hope you will talk to your dr and get help. And, you will always find support here.
