Starting new - Daily journal

Hi everyone, I have been on and off drinking lately, and even more so these past few months. Today 10/16 I plan to STOP completely, and understand that I cannot moderate, or have only one drink. I can abstain for some days, then have a drink and fall off the right path.

I did great on Saturday...but then my urge was terrible yesterday and I caved in.

It is hard for me to make AA meetings, so I will be posting here. I really need the support and to vent. I also believe in God's strength and deliverance, and also realize the importance to stay connected to others as well.

I've got to get some sleep before work soon...will post back later today.Big hugs to everyone fighting this alcohol demon. (((Hugs))) :c011:

Keep strong Roselover.
I am new to this as well but feeling much more positive after seven days.
Good luck to you.

Hi Roselover. I think I will start a recovery diary / journal too. I've had some problems with gambling addiction too, but starting a journal I post to when I'm finding it hard has really helped. Good luck with moving on from drinking and am sure you'll find lots of support here.

Welcome back RoseLover :)

A journal is a great tool - are you planning to do anything else in particular to stay sober this time?
