Day 1 AGAIN
Insomnia had me googling. .. which lead to this site.
Yesterday, Sunday, I relapsed after a week of not drinking.
I've been drinking almost every day for 3 years since shortly after my multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
Now I'm overweight, unfit, high blood pressure, thyroid issues, depressed.... I see an endocrinologist on Oct 30th.
I'm sure there is much more to list under the physical issues. I know the last 3 years has changed me mentally and emotionally as well. Not for good I know.
I was sober for over 3 years when I was diagnosed with MS. I slowly stopped "recovery" when I should have been embracing it to help accept the diagnosis.
I'm mad at myself every time I think about getting sober because I know the amount of effort and work it took the first time. One day at a time.....one moment.
I'm very hard on myself.
Well this is a start. I know I need support. Not sure if I'll go to AA or not.
Thanks for reading my first post!

Hi there!! I am on Day 1 also "again" so I will support you. We can do this!! I can't attend AA meetings, so I plan to use the resources and get support here. Be sure to check in daily, or when you can. I'm rooting for you!!
Day one here after nearly 2 weeks of feeling fantastic ... Ha a beer last night... Lead to more beer ... Then hit the wine like a crazy lady ! Today feel terrible and sick ... Day one AGAIN . Me to 3 years of heavy drinking. Where do u live?
Hi, great support on here and many people use different methods through recovery that are suited to them.
I wouldn't write anything off if it helps keep you sober and happy.
Lots of info on here with regards to recovery plans, have a good read and see if anything chimes with you.
Best of luck
