Close Call
Close Call
I stopped by the grocery store for a few things on my way home this afternoon. In my part of the world, the liquor, beer, and wine selection is pretty impressive and the first thing you see past the produce when you walk in the door.
I slowly walked past the aisles of delicious wine, wishing that I could enjoy just one bottle. However, I know that I can't enjoy one bottle because one will turn into two or three and a headache in the morning. I almost rationalized a walk through the aisles by telling myself, "I'll just get a 6 pack for my husband." It was just so tempting, so close. Suddenly, thankfully, my kids in the buggy began arguing and snapped me out of it. I walked away.
Side note: Grocery shopping is WAY cheaper when you don't buy alcohol.

No kidding! My bank account is breathing a sigh of relief these past 2 weeks or so. I have an app on my phone that estimates the amount of money saved, drinks passed, etc. It's called Easy Quit Drinking.
