An Unexpected Positive Effect

I recently shared my desire to abstain from alcohol completely with a friend, a friend who drinks as much, if not more, than I do. A few hours after our conversation, I received a text from her. She has decided to set specific personal goals to limit her drinking, which is a huge step in the right direction. She even downloaded an app on her phone to keep track of her progress!

While I thought of the positive effects my sobriety would have on my life, I never realized that it could inspire others to make positive changes in their own habits.

Now I have yet another reason to stay the course and remain sober!

What a great feeling! Positive role modeling for others is definitely an unexpected turn, you just never know how your behaviors are truly effecting others, for the good and bad!
