Think positive, remain calm, sober, strong
and lean on those who can guide you and
carry you with each passin day.

Why are you dreading to talk to your
therapist? Are you afraid of hearing
something you don't want to hear?

You don't pay him for you to hide what you feel.

Being honest about what you are feeling
allows them to better understand you.

So many times we go thru life covering
up how we really feel or share what is
bothering us and we keep all this "stuff"
baggage, heavy crosses weighing heavy
on our shoulders when we don't have to.

Having someone point out some of these
faults we have in us may be a blessing because
there were lots going on with me, bothering
me and I really didn't understand why
until they pointed it out to me.

Once they did and I had time to think
about it then a light bulb went off like
an ah ha moment.

Theraphist are trained physicians that
know what to listen for and can see it
which is good because many times we
don't hear or see it ourselves.

Remain openminded and honest
and be willing to work with your
doctor as they provide you with
options, suggestions to get thru
tomorrow.

Chilledice, your therapist will be able to help you through the panic attack. Hang in there. And, you can always come here and post.

Each challenge you face is a growing
experience and before you know it
you will become more stronger and
more mature in heart mind and soul.

Having a little childlike inside you
is not a bad thing either.

Keep up the good work.

Don't fight panic ,let it do what it does especially with your therapist present , this will give him a better picture of how to help you .Please try to not feel embarrassed for feeling dreadful ,he will understand .

I used to go to my GP with various ailments and was ashamed to admit how much I was drinking , this wasn't helping me or him so eventually I came clean and put the cards on the table . He was then able to reassess my case based on this new information and treat me accordingly .

Good luck

Actually, I had a terrible thing happen to me on Friday the 13th many, many years ago. My wife was killed in a car accident. I have always thought of it as just a coincidence, for people die each and every day.

Plus, my religion takes no special note of this day.

What's embarrassing about posting here about a tough time? We all do it, that's the point. Hard to get support if you aren't honest about what you are struggling with.

Nobody thinks you are "moaning like a childish baby." Ignoring your concerns and setting yourself up for failure seems more childish to me.

Glad you posted, and glad it went well for you!
