Having no hope

I have repeated this pattern for a long time. I will feel better after a few days. It's been about 3 days now and I know the time is ticking until I binge again. I know my mind and body is in the recovery state but feel like I have little to no hope.

:-(

Hi,

I'm new to this forum today but know exactly how you feel. I can feel the pain in your writing. It's amaizing how quickly our minds and bodies forget the terrible side and encourage us to drink again. Keep the chin up 👍🏻.

'and I know the time is ticking until I binge again'

A little bit of perspective could see that as 'time built up since my last binge' 'And 'I'm not going back to that dark place'

Love this! Very inspiring for us who seem to keep falling off the band wagon.

A repeated pattern of relapse usually means you are repeating a recovery method that isn't working...if you are doing anything recovery related at all. And if you aren't, it's time to start.

I haven't in the last 5 years, been putting little effect in my life in general. I know I don't like being older, living like I'm 16 when I'm 35, not haven't a real social life and just not been really produced. I good in the first few months then things goes numb. I think it was worse this time because I haven't drank about 5 to 6 months.

Drinking again won't solve any of your problems tho why - but staying sober might just give you the perspective and opportunity to do something about your life and your fears?
