Back too day 1
I am so glad you're back, Mummy. I was just wondering how you'd been. Please believe me, there is hope for a good, peaceful, dignified and sober life for you. It is hard, I know but you never have to feel that shame and guilt again. Keep strong and stick here with us.; there is so much love, support and brilliant advice here. I never thought I could conquer the bottle, that I was utterly hopeless and useless, but that was a lie that I told myself, mired in my abject misery and self-hatred due to drink. You can do this! Wishing you all the best in your sober journey.
Welcome back Mummy, Green Swimmer and Hope
I had to take drinking off the table as a viable option.
Doing that forces you to look at other options to deal with things like boredom, loneliness and fear.
You'll always find support here too
Good luck with your scan mummyto2

Welcome Mummy,
Take alcohol off the table. Surrender to the fact you can't drink ever! Find a sobriety program such as AA, SMART, AVRT, etc. The only shame is the shame of not getting help for a problem that is recoverable.
