Year 7!

What a year. Moved from the UK in June and now living in W. Canada. We sold the flat, quit our jobs and brought the boy & dog on a new chapter. It is delightful here - rather more space and fewer cars.

Making this big change has helped me to make some other changes - eating / sleeping better & exercising much more (best way to sneak vegetables into a child is in a smoothie, I learn).

It has also meant that wife and I have had to start again professionally (I am studying for the next 2 years!) and our immigration status is not guaranteed. I expect it will work out somehow.

My point in writing all this being - not a single part of these exciting changes would have been remotely possible had I taken a drink. It is scary, but I now KNOW IN MY BONES that if I attend to things daily and maintain my program, I will remain sober.

As sober year 7 begins, I'd like to acknowledge that SR played & continues to play a pivotal part in my recovery.

Thanks everyone!

Max
