Day 4 accountability thred
 

Hey all. Day 4 here and its starting out good but Tuesday night is a trigger for me. Especially today I may get some important news because we're moving my business. But also because I start early and work late Tuesday. So I'm posting now and posting again once I'm home safe with no wine.
I have a thing where if I take a few days off my mind says "cured!" And I'm fine to drink again. But I know I'm not and 4 days is nothing to a normal person.

If you are fully committed to never drinking again, what do you care what your mind says about your affliction?

Are you committed to sobriety? 100%?

Or are you still in negotiations with your addiction?

Definitely committed. I was just using that to kind of explain what has gone wrong for me in the past and what goes on in my brain around day 4. But this time I know it's not true and it's not about being "cured" it's about reclaiming my good life without being dragged down by feeling like crap, looking like crap, and regret.

I'm here. Miserable and depressed but here.

Day four as well, hang in there. Today I poured my ice tea into a wine glass without even realizing what I was doing. Pathetic, so used to only picking up wine glasses.

Well this made me smile, if that's any consolation. And I kinda like the idea of iced tea in a wine glass. Fancy ;)
