The Road to Wigan Pier
The journey upon the correct path begins today...
The first step
Recuperation of energy. I plan on spending this week catching up on sleep and replenishing the body and mind with food, water and decent reading material. I'd love to take the week off, but that's not possible. So, I'll get through work the best I can and not worry too much about a routine or system.
I read a bit of the NA book today which I have a copy of on my kindle. It probably makes more sense than AA as it stated something like "we knew from the beginning we were describing a problem not related to any single substance....."
I guess it's just an addicted mind. Easier to see that way.
Not thinking of exercise this week. Slowly get back into it.
There's an na on Saturday night that I can go to. They are on in the Evening four nights during the week and then on Saturday. The AA ones are only three times during the week. However, I work in the evenings.
Sunday I'll get make to the Buddhist centre were there are weekly meditation and buddhism classes. Then start back meditating and reading about buddhism, which to me explains a lot about how the mind works and how what we believe will bring us happiness is often delusional thinking because in fact it will bring us suffering. Sound like somebody we know?
I might take a little break from the martial art I was doing. Ease my way back into exercising. Then get back to the martial art with a clear head and a clear and stronger mind. Maybe with some of the these residue negative emotions cleared from my face.
Right that's it for now. Work, plenty of water every hour, read a little, put a wash on and sleep.

The devil was standing at the foot of my bed, pointing his finger at me
what a rough nights "sleep"......sweated buckets, heart beating like crazy and flashbacks and nightmares........thrashing in the night...
I guess all the nastiness leaving the system...
Depressive, nightmarish feelings....I can expect that for a week at least...
Then they'll gradually go, once I start adding positive habits, step by step...
