Been lurking and reading for awhile and figured now is the time to become active on here. Have had a couple of stints of sobriety over my 30 year drinking career, but each time I slip back into old habits. What starts as a beer after yard work ends up being 9 or 10 a week later.
I don't even enjoy the buzz that much anymore, so there are obviously underlying reasons and factors for me making the choices I make. Just sick and tired of being sick and tired, as the saying goes.
Anyway, there seems to be a lot of great support and resources on here, so hoping I can contribute some and use the tools available. Today, I have decided to begin my sobriety journey. Thanks for having me along.

I drank 30 yrs too - and it was really taking me down. I'm glad you joined us, Bonacraze. It helps so much to share thoughts with those who understand. Let us know how you're doing.
Hey, morning everyone. Thanks for the welcome. Been reading a lot on here....doing well. Sorting things out in my head after an epic round of beer Friday night. Slept well. I am just so done with this cycle and drinking.
How do I like posts, btw? Also, I saw the October class post. Do I need a certain mumber of posts to join, or just jump in? I am ready to go all in for breaking this cycle and living a life where there is less self-inflicted chaos.
Have a good Sunday. BC

Welcome Boracraze, signing up to Sober recovery was the thing that has helped me get to 15 weeks. Just keep reading and posting. Whenever you get an urge come here first. There's always something you can relate to.
Good luck!
