Unconscious change of habit...for the better
Hi all,
Just a quick share...I have been embracing sobriety for over a 100 days. My husband said to me yesterday "I've just realised you never watch that television programme anymore". When I was drinking my ritual when I got home from work would be to open a bottle of wine and watch a particular television programme...I'd let the wine numb me and the programme distract me from life, my thoughts, my feelings etc. Without being conscious of it I have not watched this particular programme since stopping drinking. Looks like my subconscious brain has been working behind the scenes to eradicate a daily habit that is associated with alcohol in order to support my sobriety 😊

Over 100 days ,great work . On your topic when I was drinking indoors I sat at my side of the kitchen table doing all the usual drinking stuff like phone calls or blasting out 70s,80s tunes . Now I never sit there unless its for dinner not even for a cup of tea .
