Day 24 Hello all. Day 24 here. I hope that everyone is doing well. Quick question. When does the feeling of hopelessness go away? I was told that it would take 2 weeks for the AD to really kick in. I have been on it for a week now. I have nothing to be depressed about. I have been married for almost 14 years now, and I have 2 beautiful kids age 5 and 1. Hope this cloud will lift soon. Have a great day/night. |
Hi, I didn't have anything to be depressed about either, but that's not how depression usually works. It can happen to anyone. For me, it did take a couple of weeks to feel improvement from the antidepressant, and that was after trying a few and changing doses. Not every antidepressant works well for everyone. I would give it a little longer but don't hesitate to contact your dr if you don't feel improvement. |
I'm going on a month and a half and still feeling it. Depressed, hopeless. But I'm trying to keep going, and you should too. It will be worth it. |
Thank you for the encouraging words Anna and Anarock. I am definitely taking it one day at a time. I just keep telling myself that alcohol is not the solution, and that things will improve as the days progress. Have a great weekend. |
