I am meeting some of my goals thanks to y'all.

I lurk in these forums almost daily but hardly ever log-in or post. But I just wanted to pass along my thanks to this community for helping me through some tough times. I am almost 6 months sober and have been doing great. I lost over 30lbs, quit ALL of my blood pressure meds, am going back to school, and feel physically wonderful. Mentally is a whole other topic, but I am managing. This place is awesome, thanks!:You_Rock_

What wonderful news, inplainview. 6 mos. is fabulous. A nice bonus that your blood pressure is lower. :)

Update

So I’m still sober and have an update. I hardly post but view this board regularly. Since my last post, I received a promotion at work, finished my graduate degree, and once again celebrated my kids birthdays sober! It’s not easy and I still see a therapist weekly. But life is just easier without the booze.
